Hello, I am new to your site and I was hoping someone could shed some light on my recent find. We live in Island Pond, Vt on a large dairy farm, and
recently found the following chassis and rear end in our woods. I am
hoping to determine the size of the truck as well as the year. I
believe it to be a Dodge Bros. truck with a Graham Bros. rear end
possibly dating somewhere between 1921 to 1926. I have done some
research on the net but have not been able to find much information on
this particular frame. I have included measurements I thought might
0f help as well as pictures. Also, I am wondering if there is any
interest in this piece and of course some idea of value if any.

Stamped Graham Brothers rear end.

Rear cover measures 14" and has a ten bolt pattern.

Front cover of rear end has a stamped number which to the best I can
make out is 718-H1.

Rear end width brake drum to brake drum measures 54".

Rear end width from outside of tire to outside of tire is 62".

Brake drums measure 3 1/2" x 15".

Leaf springs are ten springs total on each side measuring 3" wide x
3/8" thick (each spring) top spring measures 48" in length.

Tires measure 38" across from end of rubber to rubber.

Wheel or rim measures 26".

7 lug spoke wheels.

8 lug split rims.

The total length of the chassis is 14' long, but some has been torched
at the front to be adapted to a trailer I would assume. I hope this is
enough info to maybe shed a little more light on the size of truck,
year, or any info on how to research further would be great too.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Faun-Marie

Interesting truck, Faun-Marie.
Unfortunately I don't know a lot about the marque, but IIRC, Graham Bros started making what might be called 'kit trucks', in that they provided components except for the engine, later they built complete vehicles, but in about 1921, they sold out to Dodge Bros.

As Dodge Bros produced cars of that name, and possibly to avoid confusion, they continued to use the 'Graham Bros' name for a lot of their commercial vehicles for a few years, certainly many dodge-built 'Graham Bros' trucks were imported into Australia, and no-doubt found their way to many other parts of the world.
