I wish I lived closer, I'm looking for a project for over the winter, and that looks most do-able.

That panoramic rear end would be great for the nosy parkers out there to sit and watch the world go by. Exclamation Exclamation
These small vans are really popular at the moment. Not everyone can accomodate a large 18footer,especially if they have more than one. Very Happy
My little 10ft Eccles,a recent purchase takes up no room at all. Very Happy
I will keep my eye open for a project van on my travels....any cut off year you prefer.?

It sounds like you have met my duchess (panoramic windows most desirable). I just fancy a moderate project 60's or earlier, has to be moderate as I have just had a couple of mini-strokes which is slowing me down a bit at present Confused and being based in the N.E. Scotland most projects seem to be a fair distance away but we will sort something out Wink .

A little rare tourer - not from the 50's though more likely from the 1960's think 1963-its a Donnington 9 a small 4 berth - now last one I saw was on Blackpool front of all places about 15 years ago painted blue also one at South Yorkshire Caravans again about same time. Rare van from this one time static caravan maker. Seems strange but some static makers loved to build compact tourers - Fisher used to large static vans before going small!!

Hi all, I was just wondering as at the moment I am striping the paint back to aluminum but it looks unfinished. Does anyone know what would be the best thing to do, use coach paint or something? I've tried polishing it and it justs makes double the work for the same effect.

The caravan is being turned into a 1950s Mobile Barber shop, will post photos soon.

Many thanks for any advice,

Sarah Very Happy

I forgot to say, but I guess you have probably worked it out, we bought this off the Ebay auction and when it was ending I found this topic in a google search so have signed up, to see if I can get any advice while we're doing it up.
Hope everyone isn't to upset that we aren't transforming it back to its original glory. I want to take it round all the themed vintage events, cutting and styling Mens hair and doing make-up and hair styling for Women. I am hoping it will set me up with a good little job for many years to come.

Cheers,
Sarah

Kool thanks, I will look it up, sounds great.

Oh you wouldn't know if there is anyone in the North West who would be willing to bring thier 50s car for a photoshoot I'm organising for the end of March? The pictures would look like thier car is pulling it, and I will be using the pictures for all my advertising, website and flyers etc..

Will update pictures soon..

Cheers,
Sarah
