|
|
My 1981 Castleton is equipped with vacuum assisted brakes which I think are original rather than after market as I cannot see any alterations having been done to the rigging.
The problem is I don't know exactly what the vacuum supply should be. It could either be direct from the manifold (of the towing car) or from a seperate vacuum pump.
Has anyone come across this system or has any further ideas?
Many thanks |

I did fit a kit to a mate's car many moons ago. It needs to be connected to the manifold. When set up correctly , they work well.
I now remember fitting a tee handle valve control down near steering wheel. Early 70's at a guess. I think there was a connection to the master cylinder that controlled the amount of vacuum braking. |

I found the answer at:
http://www.winbrake.com/prod_pbr.html
I'm waiting to see how much it costs and whether they can ship to the UK.

I found a PBR PV109 kit on eBay. It's now on the way from Australia, it should be here by Christmas as it's coming by sea!
