I agree about the lighting, it's awful! |
Spotted your Elves looking very smart.
Car of the show? - for me it was either the Ferrari 250GT Lusso on the Ferrari Owners Club stand, which I would have happily swapped a kidney for, or to satisfy my demands for the odd-ball, the lovely wooden bodied Healey Shooting Brake
Any other nominations? |
I had a great 'long' day there on Saturday too. I agree about the lighting, seemed even more noticeable this year for some reason?
As for that Ferrari 250 GT Lusso - I went with 2 Ferrari owners and was talking to Peter Everingham (club deputy chairman) on the Ferrari stand. Apparently that car has not long ago been re-trimmed inside, and he managed to source 50 year old leather to trim it in!! Where on earth do you find period leather to trim it with?? It was the first time anyone has asked me to sniff a Ferrari I can honestly say, but he opened the door of it and asked us to have a good sniff. Weirdly enough, it smelled like old leather, but was lovely!
I couldn't choose on car of the show, was some stunning vehicles there. I did like that Ferrari, or the Maserati 3500 GT Spyder right next door. _________________ Born to rally, forced to work!
