I've deleted the other thread, and brought the photos to here, keeping everything in one place (hope that's ok!)

Very smart!

thanks for the favorable comments i almost purchased an Austin 10 cambridge but the morris was closer to where i live and £1500 cheaper so i got the morris and so far i love it just wish the rain would stop so i can actually drive a bit. I will be putting indicators on as it only has semaphores as i didnt want anything to modern i found some rear lights for a pre war model a ford that work as stop tail and indicators so a modern upgrade that looks very period i will post some photos once indicators fitted

Svg do a nice conversion kit for the front side lights to add indicators but i think it is more designed for the 'torpedo' style lights which of course the morris doesnt have. http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/category/indicators/

i made up a new numberplate backing board and fitted indicators to this - this way its completely removable without trace if i wanted to. i dont think they look too out of place, certainly better than modern motorbike indicators that i see on a lot of vintage cars.

thanks for the information mid and i like the front plate idea and great morris
well good news and bad the rain finally stopped so i was able to take the 10 for a run ran perfectly but seemed a bit reluctant to pull and when i got to the petrol station i noticed white smoke coming from nearside rear wheel hand on drum and warm so back home trying not to use brakes luckily not to far drum was hot to touch so brakes binding on even though it has benn parked up without the handbrake on will have to investigate and report later also collected my wifes xmas prezzie a 1965 ford mustang so a good day and bad ie normal

FOR SALE after much hearbrake and sensible discussion i have decided to sell the morris 10/4 after it returns from devon classic cars it will be on offer for £7500 ovno and will be ready for the show season several reasons have influenced the decision the main one being my wife and i find it awkward to get in and out of the car as we are not the smallest of folk also the riley is being restored and our newest purchase the 17hp armstrong siddeley limosine also needs some restoration if anyone is interested in the morris please ring me on 01579 362361
