|
|
| Hi, I am looking for a Newton Bennett 8" clutch plate to fit a 1936/7 Austin 10 with a 1939 engine, the type I am after does not have the springs in the plate, anything will be of interest even if it is worn out, I can replace the plates, it just has to be minus the springs. Does anyone know of one, has one to sell or can tell me were to get one. Cheers |

Have you tried the Austin Ten Drivers Club? I have not been a member for some years but they used to have a good spares store and if they did not have the part they could tell you where to get it.
I may have one somewhere but its probably under half a ton of other junk, if I come across it I'll let you know.
I remember that the early 10/4 had the clutch lining fastened to the flywheel, and the plate was just a disc with a centre that was prone to shearing the rivets but I cannot remember what the later one looks like, although I fitted one to my 1932 model about 15 years ago. |

Have you tried 'Available Austins' (tel no 01676 541276) or Austin ten Men Ltd (tel no 01902 676778) ?
Would you happen to have the 2 brackets which hold the rear number plate and tail lights? (also for a 10) |
