Hi all, my name is Ian and I am a 37 year old professional car restorer and automotive detailer from Shropshire. I have had a life long love affair with classic cars which grows stronger by the day. Some of the classics I have owned are,

Austin A40 Somerset, Reliant Scimitar GTE, Austin A35 van, Opel Manta GTE exclusive, Rover 2200TC p6, numerous minis, two MGB's, three Morris Minors, Ford Escort Mk2, VW Corrado, Jaguar Mk2, Hillman Avenger, Beetle 1303s, and a few others

In my day job I work on the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, TVR, MG, Triumph, and we even have a Chalmers 6/30 from 1918. In the past I have worked for a Jaguar restoration company and several car dealerships but my current job really is my dream role. I get to restore classics and keep my hand in with the moderns.

I am looking forward to chatting with likeminded enthusiasts and learning much more as well as sharing my own experience.

Ian Very Happy

Hello Ian and welcome. Smile I used to work with someone who lived in Church Stretton and bought a Chalmers as a restoration project. At the time it was the only one in England, so I wonder if it is the same car?
