CLUB LOTUS SHOW AND FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 30 YEARS WITH APRIL RETURN TO
DONINGTON PARK
The 30th annual Club Lotus Show and Festival takes place at Donington Park,
back at its traditional dates of 20th and 21st April 2013. The show is the
biggest and best attended indoor Lotus Show in Europe and regularly attracts
over 5,000 enthusiasts from all around the world.
The show itself will be bigger than ever before with Club Lotus planning a
new show layout inside the newly refurbished halls. All the regular trade,
club, autojumble and memorabilia stands will be there and many will have
special offers just for the weekend. You¹ll also be able to talk to the
club¹s technical experts who¹ll be running live technical and practical
demonstrations on Lotus engines, chassis, gearboxes, interior trim, glass
fibre repairs and painting.
Lotus Cars and Classic Team Lotus will be there with special displays as
well as celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jim Clark winning his and Lotus¹
first Formula One World Championship. Hundreds of Lotus cars both road and
race - reflecting the great history and heritage of Lotus, will be displayed
both inside the hall and on the many club stands outside.
Club Lotus is currently in discussions to hold a Lotus only trackday on
Friday 19th plus more driving activities over the weekend that will be
confirmed in due course. Club, Trade and exhibitor information and booking
packs are now available from Club Lotus.
As always there will be lots to see and do inside the hall including
individual Lotus club displays and a used Lotus car sales area. All the
major UK Lotus specialists will be at the show selling everything from new
cars, tuning kits, new and used spare parts and accessories to insurance,
photographs, memorabilia, models, clothing and accessories. A large and
varied Lotus autojumble will provide bargain hunters with plenty of fun and
value. All Lotus models will be catered for with companies such as Paul
Matty, Christopher Neil and PNM covering the classics and Hangar 111 amongst
others looking after Elise and Exige owners.
Organised by Club Lotus, the worlds biggest and oldest Lotus Club, the
weekend is certain to be the biggest UK Lotus gathering in 2013 and the
place to be for all Lotus enthusiasts. Club Lotus offers a wide range of
benefits to members and membership still only costs £30 per year.
Club Lotus Show and Festival is open from 10am until 4.30pm on Saturday 20th
and 10am until 4pm on Sunday 21st April. Adult ticket prices are £10 or £9
for Club Lotus mambers in advance. Tickets for senior citizens and children
under 16 years are £5, with children under 12 years getting entrance for
free. Family tickets are available for £27 (two adults and up to four

CLUB LOTUS SHOW GETS TECHNICAL AS DEMOS AND SPECIAL GUESTS SHARE ADVICE AT
DONINGTON PARK
Lotus enthusiasts will get much more than rare cars to drool over at the
Club Lotus Show and Festival when it returns to Donington Park on its
traditional dates of 20th and 21st April 2013. The popular live technical
demonstrations, run by established and well known Lotus experts, offer
visitors the opportunity to watch live demos and ask those all important
questions that will aid their own rebuild or restoration project.
Author of Lotus Elan workshop manuals and Club Lotus resident expert Brian
Buckland will showcase the Lotus twin-cam engine and Lotus Elan whilst
former Esprit Platform Manager Brian Angus will focus on the Lotus 900
series engine and Lotus Esprit.
Frank Sadowski of Option 1 Sportscars, Lotus repair and restoration
specialists, will run demonstrations on glass fibre repair, preparation and
painting, with Charlie Mahony of CTM Performance Engineering looking at
what¹s under the bonnet with engine machining, preparation and building.
Andy Widnall and Sean Reeve of Spyder Engineering, classic Lotus restoration
specialists, will demonstrate the tasks involved with restoring a Lotus
chassis while Steve Fulcher, son of the late Nick Fulcher of N Fulcher
Coachtrimmers, shows how to make a Lotus look as good on the inside with
interior trim restoration and repair.
Club Lotus, along with Lotus Cars and Classic Team Lotus, will celebrate the

Jim Clark¹s mentor and first sponsor, Lotus 25 designer Len Terry, Jim¹s
