For those who havent done this job it can be quite tricky a few wee tips will help to make this job easier with less bruised nuckels my first attempt took about half an hour using a ring spanner. It dawned on me that there had to be an easier method first clean the threads of the bolt and use some penetrant then get a 21mm plug spanner and ratchet and undo the brass nut so much easier wish i had done this from the start. When putting the light back to gether grease the threaded section if ever you want to undo again as prone to rusting.Check inside the headlight case for rust near the mount as they are prone to rusting out faulty cork seals.hope that helps somebody with there restoration rustyreks.
