Your caravan looks lovely.

That's a nice wee caravan you've got yourself there - and the car matches the image so well. Cool

G'day artshack,

That is a very tidy well appointed little van.

Could you tell me what year it was built, and is it fibre glass construction ?

Cobber.

Hi

Nice to see you here Smile Here is my carlight: http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1614

It has since had the kitchen / bathroom ripped apart! Not sure if its ever going to look the same again! I'll have to update my thread soon with pics. If it doesnt turn out too well it might be used as a shed!

I now have my newer carlight to look forward too. We are off up to the lakes on the 28th just for a long weekend, then le mans in June Laughing

Hi James

Great work, i dont think i'd be that brave, but dont give up!! so are you taking the carlight to le mans.

i see you contacted the owners club i tried but with no reply, could you give me the email address that you have just incase the one i have is out of date.

when you have her on the road again maybe we could have a mini meet Very Happy

Sorry for the late reply.

Its not on the road yet. Some more work has been done to it, namely the whole kitchen ripped out. Ive not updated in a while, i'll do it this week.

Ive since bought a newer 152EK commander for le mans this year. Went away in it to the lakes at the end of last month. Had a few problems, namely a bent-ish towbar, resulting in snapping 3 of the stabiliser sleeves that hold the stabiliser on the caravan, but never mind, it was good fun!

The email address for the Carlight owners club has changed to:

peter@howdenhall.fsnet.co.uk

Hes a very pleasant chap, who took the time to respond to my email, once id found the right email address for him!

At the time though, my old cassetta was looking like it might end up on the scrap heap, so i never joined, however due to the purchase of my newer commander, I might now join!

Anything else you want to know, just ask!

Regards
James

Thanks for the email, I send him a note and see what happens..

Sounds like you had a bit of an adventure with the new van, but as long as you made a safe return Very Happy

I've finally finished the update of my hitch by changing the coupling to a more modern type (i'll post a couple of pix to show what I've done), so I'm planning the first trip around the beginning of June, fingers crossed.

Do you know if brake parts are getable?

All the best

Andy
