If you could borrow a car for just one afternoon, what would you plump for?

If I lived in Cheshire, this one:

Wink

Failing that, a Bugatti Veyron

Depends on the weather and location but a red ur quattro 20V with A/C would probably tick all my boxes.

That looks terrifying to drive (especially to reverse), but yes something bonkers expensive like that would seem a good bet.

As would something a little offbeat, like an Alvis Stalwart for example.

If buying the real thing is out of the question you could always build your own!

Or get one in rougher condition...

Leyland Martian

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THBi84GxQiw

A few other videos on there as well.

The regiment had them for Artillery tractors with the 40/70 bofors.

The Radar also had them for the Meadows Generator and AEC Millitant for the Radar

Ref. cutting up.

We had a Gogomobile try it in Dusseldorf Germany in the 60's
We didn't see him, he got picked up by part of the tyre tread and trapped between the wheel and wing.
We thought it was the tramlines, people waving and dashing out in front of us made us stop.
The German driver was a bit shaken to say the least Laughing
