Hi out there, my name is Frank and a newbie to this forum...
Hope were all having some fun these miserable days.....
Is there anyone out there with a 1930's Citroen C4.....??????
my wife has bought me one (for my next ten birthdays) to add to the other
old vehicles in my life.....
I'll post a photo some time when I can work out how to do it (I'm an old duffer) just give me some oil and a box of spanners !!!!!
I would like to speak - e-mail etc with another owner.....
My car (was a 4 door sedan) has been converted to a pick-up many years ago...was removed from a barn on the demise of the previous owner....
She (has no name yet) was taken off the road due to gearbox problems but surprisingly in an almost complete state, nothing important robbed....
After cleaning out the fuel system (old fuel like varnish) and checking the points etc , hot wired it and off she went !!! ran very well with no sticking valves.....did have a little drive....She's going to be fun to run about in....
Luckily I live in SW France where car's don't get the metal moth.....
there are a few small repairs to the body but nothing to serious.....
Looking forward to the rebuild, just need another Wednesday and Thursday in the week...don't we all...
Hope someone can help......
Wishing u all, bee's in ur hair and oil on ur shoes.
thanks Frank (cloggs)..... |

Hi Frank,
Welcome to the forum. We always like lots of photos so do get signed up to Photobucket. After that you just need to copy the image link into your postings to display a photo.

Hello Frank,
Welcome to the forum, I will ask my friends in France if they know any
1930's C4 owners, hopefully an english speaking one perhaps?
Cheers Steve |

Well blow me down, never thought I'd get any replies for my unusual Citroen...
All this help, so quickly makes u feel good....I did try to contact the Rear wheel drive Citroen owners club, but after I told them it had been converted to a
pick-up they ignored me...(I didn't convert it)...by the way the photo recommended to view was stunning.....
So I promise this week to get the photo-bucket thingy started, that should keep me out of the workshop for a few evenings.....
Many thanks to all who replied....camaraderie, is the only way to go....
cheers Frank |
