Greetings from the States!
Just picked up a 39 Morris 8 series E 2 door saloon, and may be looking for some pieces. There aren't a lot of them here in the states so I don't know of anyone to chat with.
The car is complete and runs like a top but the body is in need of a fair amount of work. It also appears that the interior, except the headliner is original. As far as I can tell, all of the bakelite is there. I do have questions and would like to correspond with other owners of this car or variance of it. I have no idea what type or size of fitting was used to attach the bakelite and the front false grille.
Any assistance members of this forum could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Pat and welcome Very Happy

I have a 1939 Series E; a 4 door, that is undergoing a nut and bolt restoration, you can read about it here, although I've not done much recently as other projects have consumed the time!

Do you have any pics of your car?

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave!

I need to take a few more pictures and will post them soon. It looks decent in pictures till you look closely and realize the outside sills are shot and the trunk/boot lid is rotted away. Lots of bodged jobs on this one. The previous owner added lower sills and a new rear valance panel from a 4 door. No idea where they got them from. Loved reading about you adventures in restoring your car. I am sure we will be talking a fair bit.
Cheers!
