|
|
I attempted to change my rear brake cylinder on the Vogue for it's impending Mot. When trying to replace the cylinder with a new one there was a difference in the two cylinders. That being, the old one is a self adjuster and the new one supplied is not. There are two little bolts that retain the adjuster on the old cylinder but on the new there is no way to attach them to the new.
I phoned Speedy Spares and they told me that they cannot source the same self adjuster cylinder, ergo, I now have a new but useless cylinder. Their advice is to consult forums on the issue.
Is there any way to source a cylinder with the adjuster retainer holes allowing me to change the adjuster over. (In the interim I have ordered new seals but I would prefer a new cylinder.
Any suggestions? _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |

I'd go for powertrax as well.
This is the rear cylinder on mine
They do come up on eBay but on mine I went down the strip, clean and fit the refurb kit from powertrax.

Yes that's the very fellow. I have bought one from ebay but it says its a rear left one.(didn't know it was side specific.) I would need it any way so I bought that one as an extra. Ordered the seal kit so I hope I'll come up with something to get the mot done. Thanks for the help. _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |
