how much play should there be between the driven slot on the dizzy to the main dizzy shaft, there seems a lot on mine! |

it will be a "running " fit , in other words not play you can feel! if there is play the dwell and timing will vary. The good news is that most Lucas distributors have a phosphor bronze bush, cheap and easy to replace with an off the shelf oilite bush.

took my dizzy to the distributor doctor, as he is quite closeby and he is going to rebuild it.
he did say the end play was very bad!
it should be back in the car on saturday so hopefully it will make a difference to the running. |
