				| Sunday 1st June is the Scottish Vintage Vehicle Federation's Champion of Champion Show. This year it is being held at Fraserburgh, 40 miles north of Aberdeen.
The event is held in conjunction with the Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally's annual show. Never having attended the Fraserburgh show i would like to see what cars are up north and should provide an interesting day

I attended the Champion of Champions last year which was held at Biggar and where I won Best in Class.

Since owning my P2 I have always driven it everywhere, but due to the timing of this event, plus very fast roads which are full of HGVs, and after last Sundays trip to Thirlstane on the M8 where I was almost rear-ended a couple of times by drivers who are not paying attention, I have decided to trailer the car for the 420 mile round trip. It will mean leaving early on Sunday morning but at least I will get a clear run at it.

Look out for some interesting pictures when I return

				| its a shame you'll have to trailer it but can fully understand your point!!
Certain people will try and overtake an old (classic) car even if its going within the speed limit, dont know what it is with them, maybe to prove that there car is better..........!!

				| Some weeks back I had been traveling along A class roads at 50 mph in the old Jag and then the road changed to dual carriageway and I came up behind a Focus that was doing 40 so I pulled out and found I wasn't gaining much, just sitting level with him. I gave up when I was over 70 mph and the road reverted to A class.
He didn't even look in my direction as much as to say "I like a bit of sport"
but he certainly I knew I was alongside him.

				| I would really like to go to Fraserburgh but Lauder is on the same day and we have members coming from England. Seems a bit crazy to have 2 big events on the same day when some weekends there are smaller events on.

				| I would have loved to go back to Lauder this weekend. It is a great place and if the weather is anything like last week, then it will be a great day _________________

You obviously had better weather then the 100mph odd winds I experienced in my tent! hehe

				| Dave, my rather receding hairline left me exposed last week and by the time I arrived home I was like a belisha beacon _________________

				| Too many to chose from Rick.
It was a bit of a journey travelling too and from Fraserburgh but I think the pictures say it all.....it was worth it

Collected the trailer on Saturday afternoon after repairing the brakes on my wifes car (long story). I asked the hirer if the tyre pressures were checked and was told "Oh yes, everything is in order". When I arrived home I went over it and found one back tyre had 15psi.. and 25 at the other side, they should have been at 100psi. I blew them up and at 10.00pm started loading the car. By 10.45pm I was ready to set off on my journey north to Fraserburgh.

During darkness I had a wonderful view of Tilly every time I applied the brakes and looked in the mirror.

In daylight this was my mirror view

I stopped in a layby a 5 miles outside Fraserburgh around 3.40am. When I awoke at about 7.00am I looked at Tilly and she was covered in dew. This was the first night she has spent out all night, the hussie
  that will teach her

It is kind of weird to see your own car picture on the winners board, but here she is

I arrived home at 11.00pm last night and tucked Tilly into her bed. I had to take my S-Class to Mercedes this morning to have some warranty work done. This would normally mean I bus it home or get my wife to collect me. (not a good idea at 6.00am) I thought I may as well put the trailer to good use and loaded the S-Class up and headed off to the garage.
First picture is at the garage and second is how the trailer ramp looks when up
