No, not a 2CV, but a tin rocking snail, made I think by Mobo. Bit tatty and rusty, but it was a cheap buy from a car boot sale yesterday. Gave it a quick rinse down and took some pics Rolling Eyes

hehe yeah I found that site last night, mine's quite rough around the lower edges so it'll live out its days as a display item somewhere, perhaps under a tree Smile

I must admit, I do find snails rather repulsive.

When I moved to my present house the garden was over-run with them. On a damp evening you could easily find a couple of dozen crawling over the car.

A pair of size 8 steel toecap boots certainly helped keep the population at bay

Hi

If you don't have cats and dogs, go to the local wildlife rehoming centre, and say you would like to provide a safe home for some hedgehogs, your snails will soon become a thing of the past!

Cheers

Hi

If you went to the same boot fairs as me yesterday they were rather busy, I was very good, and didn't spend much, was tempted by a few things, but they were rather dear!

Cheers

I've got a dog who sleeps outside all year round and can smell hedgehog at 20 yards Sad
He is the only dog I have ever seen who can grab a fully grown hedgehog in his mouth without harmimg himself Shocked

On the other hand, I do get a sort of sense of calm from the crunching noise the shells make when the size 8s come into play Very Happy

we do get a few snails here, but at the old place it was terrible, whenever we took the hound for a stroll we'd be crunching our way over them Confused I much prefer the tin variety Smile

Talking of hedgehogs you should see what they sell in the supermarkets here for getting rid of them, an exploding mine, stick it in a hole with trigger facing down, when the unsuspecting creature touches it with it nose KaBOOM Embarassed Rolling Eyes "no terrorists here" Laughing

Hi
Why do that to poor inoffensive hedgehogs,
Quote:
In areas that have hedgehogs in the wild, they are often welcomed as a natural form of garden pest control. Many people leave food out to attract hedgehogs.

now moles I could understand. Laughing
