Just spotted on the MSN news page a list of the fifteen most cringeworthy persons alive. Amongst many Americans, who I don't know from Adam' there were two Brits... one is the soft-spoken and loveable Gordon Ramsay and the other a person called Simon Cowell?
Perhaps we could have a truncated version, say five, of our own particular favourites... would motor-sport provide enough I wonder?
I'm Thinking of that little chap who goes around the pit area poking a microphone into the faces of busy and reluctant drivers and teams, in order to waste an hour before each grand prix, for one. |

hehe naa I don't mind the little fella with the high waistband from Norfolk, its the other guy in the commentary booth that drives me nuts, and definitely makes me cringe!
So, my 5 from motor racing would be:
1. J Allen commentator, annoying
2. Mad Max, following the alleged video footage of him in cahoots with some young ladies
3. Louise Goodman, for her ability to ask the dimmest of questions to drivers who have just retired or been punted out from a race
4. Whoever does the TV production, reminding us that Corrie will be with us shortly thanks to a scrolling message at the bottom of the screen
5. Mark Blundell, pit-lane pundit, and his inability to string a sentence together without resorting to cockney-barrowboy, "the equipment what Jenson's got underneef him" etc

Martin's probably a lovely little chap and has to do the cringeworthy stuff on the orders of some producer or similar behind-the-scenes plonker... but still, I wish he wouldn't. I agree on the other commentator--bring back Murray Walker. He could really make you cringe, but somehow, I liked him. |

Definitely Jeremy Clarkson for the way he hates anything British Leyland.
2. Davina McCall.
3.John Motson for his biased comments for no matter what team is playing he always mentions England.
4.All the panel members on X.Factor and Strictly come dancing. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Bruce Forsythe irritated me as a youngster, so as soon as I had control of the off button he never graced our screens again. Sounds like he hasn't improved.
Tony Blaire... who he, Greeney?
Although I still have fond memories of the 'Goodies.' Bill Oddie, on 'Spring Watch,' is beginning to grate a bit. |

Brucie? Best compere that there has ever been.
If there is one group of commentators that makes me cringe, its the swedish ones when they are commenting on sports such as MotoGP, Rugby, Snooker....Ricks young Harley could do a better job..... |

The thing they call: ‘The Stig’ (have you noticed it’s ‘Gits’ backwards) I’d like to paint his visor out and strap him in a Reliant Robin for a couple of days.
Bernie Ecclestone: for being rich, and able to pull a really tall good looking bird.
(jealousy really.)
The “sport” with the greatest infestation of prats has to be Snooker. Gawd! I wouldn’t know where to start with that lot.

I dont think Tiff needell would have anything to do with top gear after their fallout with the old top gear and the fact he works for "5th gear" now
yes it is there second...Perry McCarthy was the first one
i think he is a foreign racing driver _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

If we have to move outside sports (unless you think ‘Get me out of here…’ is a sport.)
There are two contenders; so far ahead of the others they’re out of sight. (Fanfare of trumpets) I speak of none other than those Princes of mediocrity, Archdukes of annoyance, Bishops of boredom: (that’s enough of the alliteration) ANT and DEC.
