Rick - not at the famous jump, but that nearside wheel looks as if it has some daylight underneath it!

They wouldn't let me take it on the track, and I did ask. Rolling Eyes

I expected there would be a lot more traffic on the track but for most of my lap I had my bit to myself, with just the occasional BMW, Porsche or Audi roaring past. Just like the Autobahn really, but a bit more bendy!

Certainly one of the "ten things to do before you stop driving a classic".

Meeting Brian and Emmerson was really great

But, I have to say to everyone else on this forum, this gathering was amazing. Around a staggering 160 classic vans accompanied by an amazing array of classic cars and a fantastic group of people who showed so much spirit and friendship.

Next year the show will be in northern Belgium and I can hardly wait!

Thanks for that David, I have been on a one man mission for the last 8 years to encourage more UK visitors to the ECCR, because it is so much more than just a "Caravan Show", and support from yourself and Emmerson is much appreciated.

It doesn't take long for newcomers to see that those attending are real enthusiasts for their hobby and that they try to make everyone welcome.

I hope that 2014 will be the year when there is a big British presence at the Event.

Northern Belgium , we are tempted to travel to that if we can find a dog sitter . The only Question then classic or modern Volvo .

The caravan site has a fantastic view of the north face of the Eiger and is around 1100m above sea level! http://camping-wang.naturpur.ch/

We will bring our combo over next year. We have already been to Germany to the Mosel a few times in September for the winefest`s.

Now that is a great trip. Set up camp next to the Mosel, watch the big barges pass by,cycle along the riverside from village to village.

And to boot...there are fantasic wine festivals in the villages to enjoy in the evening with street musicians.

And unlike the UK you can wild camp in most villages next to the Mosel for free.!!!

I'd rather people came and looked at the classic caravan section....the raison d'ĂȘtre of the Triumph is to be a tow car for the caravan....without the Carlight I would only have my MG 1300!
