Have a square AA badge on both my green mini and the hunter and have an older AA one like the one fitted to Rick's volvo on the blue mini.
Have a rarer Maltese one to fit to the hunter all cleaned up ready to fit, when I remember !!

1960 AA badge off side, 1961 RAC badge near side, both just below the lights.

Also a figure of Zebede of magic roundabout fame in the centre of the radiator opening, that is in recognition of the man who built the car.
He worked in TV and film backroom studios, props etc.,
He worked on the Magic Roundabout props for the TV series.

Hi there

My 1936 Morris 8 has a small badge on the wooden dash. It says "G.M&W Squibb, The Garage, Castle Cary.

Anyone know if they are still about?

Hi Alec,if it's the Castle Cary in Central Scotland there is no garage there now, just an MOT station in the industrial area further up the hill. I will make enquiries about 'the past',cheers,JD.

Hi Alec, Scottish version is Castlecary, not Castle Cary. Strangely enough, the friend I asked about a garage actually lives in a house which was a garage at one time - funny old world. I see others have tied it down to Somerset so query solved, cheers,JD.

Hi,I have a couple of Veteran Motorist badges, a No.3 GRSS Car Club(No.3 Ground Radio Servicing Squadron,RAF Norton) which I've had since 1960, &
one from a Dutch friend which reads 10 jaar Vriendenclub, Klassiiek Mechaniek Zeeland, 19912 - 2001, plus the Pre67 Ford Club on the grill.

That's what badge bars are for, cheers,JD.

Not really a fan of loads of badges on my cars, but I've got the County of Essex, AA, Silver City Airlines and a period AA GB badge spread across my fleet. I also have an RAC badge that Roger Hatchy gave me ages ago for my dad's Austin Seven, but he sold it before it could be fitted!

Who have info on this badge =

I found it 32 years ago on a scrap yeard, it was fitted to one half of a Amazon grill.
I only spotted it in the deep mud, becourse I happen to step on it, so one end flipped up .

Only the Jaguar mascot as designed by F. Gordon Crosby seen here with his 1937 car fitted with it.

What a superb photo Peter. I recognise the two Brooklands outer badges and the inner right looks like it could be a RAC badge but any idea what the inner left badge might be? Jaguar Drivers Club perhaps?

I don't think the JDC existed back then but it might be an SS Car Club badge. I could imagine that I can see the SS logo on it but it looks a bit too dark for the club badge.

http://www.jag-lovers.org/brochures/sscc_founderbadge.html

It looks to me more like an inverted equilateral triangle or possibly two triangles forming a star.
I don't suppose the Vegetarian Cycling and Athletic Club had a car badge!

Thought I'd bump this thread up again, to gain a few more thoughts and opinions on aftermarket badges Smile Does anyone else have badges fitted to the front of their car(s)? Alternatively, did you buy a car thus adorned, and promptly removed all superfluous badging?

So, is Hank perhaps a Con Man??

Some years ago, here in Oz, I saw a car bearing 'L' plates but also had a black and white oval badge with 'G B' on it. Conclusion- a Learner, Getting Better.

Like others, I prefer not to wear many badges on my cars. I do have a few rally badges e.g the 1972 International in N.Z., 1975 National in Queensland etc.

Sorry Hank, it looked like 'CON' on first examination. Now I see that it the initials of Canadians Drive Nicely.
