It seems like the organisational side of things, including the elf n safety red tape coupled with increased costs, might have become too much of a struggle for the organiser(s) to keep up with. Shame really, especially as the Horse Shoe show isn't looking too likely either (their site is down altogether now).

There'll be some pre- and post-war cars appearing at the Bhurtpore Inn Thursday evening, 7pm. It's a VSCC local area meet, but quite a few later cars turn up too so by all means pop by, if the weather's ok there should be a few nice motors turning up. If it's tipping down then it may be best to wait 'til next month...

I noticed a poster for a classic car show at The Swan in Wybunbury, I think it's on May 19th.

I believe it's run by the same chap that used to organise the one at the Horseshoe, there was a phone number on the poster in the pub but I didn't write it down.

Quite a busy little show, with cars parked in front of the church and behind the pub, and a steamer on the front. I do wonder if they'll get trouble with it next year as there was a fair bit of congestion due to parking on the roads - it's always quite bad in Wybunbury but much worse. Weather helped, of course.

Looks worth a visit, in the end I stayed at base fiddling with the tourer.

I filled out and emailed over my booking for The Elephant today, I've had no confirmation that he received it but all being well we're booked in.

I think he's away at the moment.

It was a pretty good turnout but I didn't take many photos as there were so many people milling around.
