Just going through some old photos at home and I found it. My Mum used to go on trips around Europe back in the fifties, so I'm guessing that it was taken on one of those. No idea who the bloke in the photo is. Similarly:

My mother (in the foreground) got her driving licence before tests were required so I guess the L plate was for her friend Dorothy whose car it was.

What a lovely looking Tilly, the Austin survives best from the original versions (Austin/Hillman/Standard). Although there were some Morris 10 versions too.
They are very much sought after these days. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I'm currently working through a flickr collection : https://www.flickr.com/photos/foundin_a_attic/
Some interesting stuff in there, some older stuff, lots of general photos and, for some reason, images of old Teletext screens.
small Wolseley by foundin_a_attic, on Flickr
Prior to that I was trying to keep up with the stuff that another flickr user, "trainsandstuff" was posting, but they have recently announced that they're moving it all to another sharing site as it will be better to find stuff. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Some old negatives that I've recently scanned. The Triumph Roadster is still taxed. One of them appears to be taken from the Deganwy Castle Hotel car park, looking across to Conwy Castle.

| Nice phots! I notice the RMA has the windscreen open; a delightful feature that was deleted from later cars. |

Great stuff! I wonder if the Triumph Roadster photo was a glass plate given appearance of the crack?

No, they're from a very tightly-rolled strip of 35mm black and white negatives, but I've no idea how carefully they were stored before I got them - the roll was just loose in the box, and it's anyone's guess how many boxes and drawers it's been in. It's pre-1958, I think, because that's when the road bridge at Conwy was build, and it's not in the photo, so plenty of time for it to get scratched. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |
