| Yes, it is booked in for Stapleford. Just had it out at a local rally this weekend for the first time this year. |

Hello,
We have recently seen a Carlight Carribean caravan for sale. This was a 1966 model. The outside colour was green,we were told this was original from the factory.
In my opinion it did not do the caravan design justice. If i owned such a caravan I would have to change the colour to a single or two tone to give it a more quality look to suit the interior.
For someone who has worked with quality craftsmanship all their life, upon entering the caravan you understood the quality of build that had gone into these caravans. The white painted kitchen area although fine in 1966 when built could have looked a lot better finished in a quality pastel colour or two to give it a lift.
If someone was looking for a caravan of this size, for quality and as an investment,I do not think you could go wrong. With the bank`s paying out about 2.75% interest, this is something to enjoy and sure as hell sell on in years to come for a profit, these type of caravans will always be popular, because we do not build things like this any more.
I went to our local caravan dealer to get some rubber trim last week, having spent my time around vintage and classic caravans and cars,I was taken aback at the sight of so many white plastic boxes in the showroom. It was like taking your 1950`s/1960`s quality car into one of these out of town car dealerships, the staff would have thought you had just driven from the planet Zorro.
While interest rates stay low,I have noticed that the quick buck boy`s have gone into the classic caravan and car market, dealers are putting classic caravans on their fourcourts, everyday classics are shooting up in price,£40,000 for a Lotus Cortina.
Hope the bubble does not burst like last time,it will though

| We have a 1966 Carlight Caribbean as well as the Wagonette. Ours has been painted silver, and is quite attractive with our silver Discovery. They are a beautiful van, most unsure about the original colour being green, though. Would have to ask one of the Carlight experts. I would have expected it to be off white. |

HELLO,I SPOKE TO CLASSIC CARAVANS TODAY WHO HAVE TAKEN OVER THE CARLIGHT TORCH.
APPARENTLY MOST CARRIBEAN`S WERE WHITE (NISSAN WHITE IS THE BEST MATCH) BUT SOME WERE BUILT TO SPECIAL ORDER INCLUDING THIS ONE.
WE HAVE THE BUILD SHEET HERE IN FRONT OF US,DETAILING EVERYTHING THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER SPECIFIED FOR THE CARAVAN INCLUDING THE COLOUR.
I SUPPOSE IF YOU COULD AFFORD ONE OF THESE CARAVANS (THE PRICE OF A SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE) YOU COULD SPECIFY WHATEVER YOU LIKED TO A POINT.
AS YOU SAY THEY ARE A LOVELY VAN,IT WILL LOOK GOOD BEHIND OUR MORRIS TRAVELLER (JOKING) I MEANT AUSTIN A30.
REGARDS
