Hope I've just joined the ranks of "classic car of the fitire buyer" with my Mercedes SL500.
Though to be honest, so long as you buy something YOU like, money is not really an issue.
Would be nice to potentially make a profit on a car instead of permanently making a bloody great loss! |

I'm not sure I care about future values too much, although I seem to have bought well just the same. For me the pleasure is in the owning and driving, not the resale value. My C-type was a labour of love, gave me enormous pleasure in the research and the construction, but would it fetch the build cost? I'm not sure, but it gets a lot of looks wherever it goes. It was like designing and building my house; sometimes the pleasure is more in the journey than the arrival. |
