BL colours? Limeflower, Champagne, Russet Brown, Tundra, Damask Red, Primrose Yellow, Applejack Green and Pageant Blue are my favourites. The only one I don't really like is Sandglow, not sure why.
1950's Austin colours. I loved the colour scheme avaliable on A105 Westminsters which was cream with a red stripe - lovely. Island Blue over Speedwell Blue and Spruce Green over Palm Green on the A55 MK1 was very nice as well. A35's - Island/Speedwell Blue and Palm Green are all very nice _________________ Richard Hughes |

the colour I like most over all is old english white!!
a nice early mini cooper S in old english white with a black roof would be nice, but then I also like surf blue (thats why mine was did in that colour) and also like fiesta yellow.
I was considering doing the hunter in old english white while restoring, even though not original and never offered by rootes on hunters, but ended up keeping it the same boring blue for originality!
If some day I will have a convertible classic I want it to be in oew with red interior, very classy in my eyes! |

The yellow and white on the Metropolitan was also very nice and the PA Crestas were amazing _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

| Bermuda Blue 'cos that's what 'Riley Blue' (my '63 1.5) is - though no panel is the same shade as the next... |

| I quite like the Sapphire Blue of my Dad's old MKII Triumph 2000. HNP 244J I recall. He later had a Series 2 SWB XJ6 4.2 which was Lavender with a Biscuit interior. |

On the BL cars my pref is Green Mallard or Harvest Gold and I agree that Sandglow is on the tacky side.
On an early Mini I would pick Fiesta Yellow.
Triumph Wedgwood is worth a mention and Honeysuckle is nice on a Dolomite on T2000MK2. In fact I'm trying to persuade my son to paint our GTM kit car in that colour. Easy to paint and quite forgiving. |

Funnily enough, I went to my folks place today and mum dug out some old photos, one of which shows me and my brother in the 70s, sat in the partially-dismantled GTM. Bronze yellow is a possibility..
