Hello,
I have been offered a 1947 safari caravan.I did not realise they built them so early.
I have obviously seen 1960`s models but am not sure what this model will look like.
I have been told it is about 14ft.
And before you ask no.........The elderly couple cannot send me photo`s by email and yes it is a distance from where I live.
Has anybody any details on these early Safari`s.

Kind Regards
Gresham.

I would imagine its a Safari Minor at that age, just a guess this is from the same era.

The Safari Four, Sixteen, and Tourhome(?) were early models round about 1950 onwards. Here's a page from a 1956 brochure; the basic shape remained the same from conception until the more modern half-Mollycroft style usually associated with Safari appeared in the early 1960s.
