First of all a little introduction.
My name is Sander and I am a Dutch MFA student studying in Edinburgh. I grew up with a fother who has always been busy with classic british cars (mainly MG-B/GT and Triumph's). Becausse of this I have always been interested in classic cars.
At this moment I am doing research for a project about this subject and mainly about what happened to the car industries throughout the world (In my oppinion they don't make cars like they used to anymore).
For this project I am looking for people who own old British classic cars (1950s-1970s prefered) and who would like to tell me something about what these cars mean to them and why they think they relate to them (why is it that british car's are the way they are compared to cars from other cars in the world). And maybe there is even someone here who actually used to work in one of the late car factories?
If you feel interested in telling me your story (which I will use for my research) or have any questions please feel free to send me a pm and we can get in touch that way.
If you want to look at what I have been making so far you can take a look at my website on www.sanderschoonbeek.com
Thank you,
Sander |

Hi Sander,
I don't own a car in your 50s-70s timeframe although I have in the past owned a few and used them as everyday transport. I have never worked in the car industry. If it's of any use to you I have no objection to being interviewed. I live in Edinburgh.
Regards,

Hello Peter,
thank you for your reply I would love to hear about your history with classic cars and get your opinion about the cars which are made nowadays. I could send you some questions by e-mail to start up and maybe in a later state we can even meet up? Let me know what would be best for you.
kind regards,
Sander |
