This is the only other know Soralong, the strip on the side of the van is different to the one on the forum, but this is one of the last made , maybe the one on the forum is an early model ? without a interior its hard to make a positive i.d. but its the distinctive roof ,door ,and body shape that's makes me think that`s its possible a soralong OVM |

This certainly looks very familiar to me, lots of similarities to mine including the very high roof. I'm 6ft 4ins and can jump up and down in mine (now that the new floor is in).
The article is very useful, thanks OVM. |

Hi, I've just seen your post on Soralong restoration.
My partner bought a 1949 Soralong caravan for restoration off e-bay a couple of years ago from Frome in the West country.
He's stripped it down and completely renewed the frame with pressure treated pine, new plywood interior and new roofing strips on the interior ceiling.
He's still to finish it but most of the work is now complete.
Photos to follow when I find out how to load![/url] |
