I've recently acquired a 1937 Ford 7W Ten. Its black at the moment.

It was very recently resprayed by the previous owner, but its an appalling job... there are some runs and also what I can only describe as wavey lines where the paint has run across 8 or 10 inches or more in several places including doors etc. I'm guessing he did it himself.... didn't want to be too critical as I was getting it at a good price and didn't want to wind him up hehe.

I'm planning on getting it resprayed again ( thanks to a bonus from work ... don't tell the wife hehe ) and I'm wondering what other colours they were originally sold / offered in...

Thanks for any info...

According to Bill Ballard's book on Small Fords, the following colours for the 1937-on 7W Ten are given:

Black, Coronation Blue, Vineyard Green.

Wheels were either body colour or silver aluminium.

Trim: green, blue or red leather
or, pale blue, pale green or beige bedford cord

Thanks for that Rick, just been and bought that book Smile

As my knowledge of Ford colours is pretty much "any colour you like as long as its black " ... would coronation blue be a light blue like on this car...

Thanks once again

There's a photo of a dark blue 7W in the book, but it doesn't say whether that's Coronation Blue or not - looks nice though Smile
