Superb!
Thank you for showing those photos. Can I ask you one question, please?
The sill covers on your P6 3500S - I do not recall seeing those on the very few 3500S I have seen over the years. Were they fitted as standard to the US specification P6 export models?
I recall seeing a photo of an USA spec. P6 some years ago which had a lot more brightwork than UK models and I wondered if the polished alloy sill covers was part of the specification .

That's a lovely pair of Rovers, they look stunning. What a pair of majestic old girls. Thanks for posting the pics up.

The sill covers are the standard covers but i had them chromed.
None of the p6 models had chrome sills but the us models i think did have a little more chrome work and 3 scoops on the bonnet.
After a metro decided to pull out of a side road on me and i unfortunately hit it, i decided that it would look wrong with the front bumper new and not the rest of it. So i had a spare set of p5 wheels and i got new sill covers and a good rear bumper ect and sent them for chroming while the car was being repaired.
I also replaced the interior with the pleated leather seats, in black of course Very Happy .
Glad you like the pictures, what did you think of the traveller in the link?
All the best
Mark

I had a closer look at the Morris Minor Traveller restoration photos this morning -
very impressive!
How long did the restoration take?

The traveller has taken me 2 years, but i dont have a garage so it is on the drive outside. This meant that during the winter it was wrapped up and i didnt do any work on it. The panels were painted in my shed, and also the wood was varnished in there too. The interior wood i made myself from white oak.
It all started with a cracked spring hanger, i was going to put a new one on for the mot, but when i cleared the underseal from underneath i found the passenger seat belt buckle mounting had been fiberglassed in. So out came the floor and i didnt stop.
My daughter (she`s 13) has laid claim to the car for when she can drive, and has already named it wippy.
I now only have to check the wiring on the back lights, paint the roof gutter, free off the hand brake and fit 2 new bottom trunnions and waxoyl it and its ready for the road.
