Same as you Rick Double up on external HDD.
Thank God I do, just had the PC wiped clean by a virus/trojan.
thankfully just a pain, nothing lost as nothing is saved internaly.
I did start to back up to cd, I now fined that some of the cd's won't play ball.

I copy the half decent photos onto my laptop but I don't delete them from the camera's SD card. I just buy new SD cards when I eventually fill them.

Like Roger I gave up on CD's many years ago. I had two that grew tiny little holes so that was the end of CD's.
Now I use external and remote, as in outside of the house, HDD's accessed via wireless/router. One doesn't need a very large structure to hold a small HDD and Router, just a power supply and weatherproof.
They were originally the 250Gb ones, but a few months back I changed them both for 2Tb... (2000 Gb). Each contains the same data and can be accessed via wireless from either computer. |
