I am a SNCO in the British Army currently based in Bedfordshire.

I am trying to organise a charity car build in aid for Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion.

The idea is that a group of like minded car enthusiast soldiers restore a
British classic to its former glory and then hold a charity event to auction
it off. The idea is still in its infancy and I am in the process of
approaching radio and television companies to cover the event.

We have lots of support when it comes to skilled labour and even parts
sourcing but what we do need is a donor car. This is where I am hoping you
and your members could help. I have had many classic cars over the years
and I have always been impressed by the amount of friendly and knowledgeable
people involved in car clubs. I was hoping you would be able to put out a
request to your members or on your forums to see if anyone had a project car
they would consider donating to our cause. It really does not matter what
condition the car is in, at this point we will consider anything (as long as
it is British).

This has the potential to grow into quite an event and the of course the
donator would be invited to the final auction and hopefully appear in any TV coverage.
