Yesterday evening was the monthly VSCC meet down the road, which seemed like a good opportunity to test a large green vehicle on a (very) local trip.

I still think your Morris would look good in the back of the LGV! I take it that Betsy is running better?

You might enjoy this Dodge article (pity there aren't a few more photos, though):

Neat story Mike Smile

Yes Bess/Growling Gertie/Jolly Green Giant (a name hasn't been finalised yet Wink) seems to be running better after the carb attentions, still some more fettling to do but it's on the right track!

Hi

It sounded and looked the part when you were driving off down the road!

Was nice to see it out!

Cheers

Great to see it out at last.

Did you knock the fence down to keep the front in line with the cars? Laughing

Thursday evening was VSCC meeting time, and we had another run out into the sticks, ending up at a great watering hole overlooking the Cheshire Plain.

Looks strange but I liked it.

Hi bob2, that's a Riley Kestrel, first time I've seen this example.

Thanks Rick, had never seen one from the back, mind you I've never seen one in real life, only in photos on the internet!!
Looks strange but maybe its the angle from which the photo was taken!

This is the early-style Kestrel body, not to be confused with the "six-light" later (1935/6?) body
