Hi Everyone
It has been a very long time since I was last on here!
I wanted to ask you all about cross ply tyres for my Austin 101/ Morris JB van, which has 15" wheels.
Can anyone recommend a source of economically priced tyres which will look right on a 1950s van, please? |

Hi Tinworm
I use these people, very quick service.
http://www.northhantstyres.com/
There are a few others around, just google 'Vintage car tyres'
None of them cheap, even for the economy tyres.
I was lucky with the rear tyres, a local tyre dealer was having a clear out and I got a pair of Avon 5.50x16 for £30.

Search for " tyre-finder ", a helpful chap who knows his stuff, and a lot cheaper too! _________________ 1937 Standard Flying Twelve

Thanks. I hope so. The guy at Longstone was very helpful and knowledgeable...but it worked out at £870 incl for 5 tyres!!! |
