Hello,
I have the registration....
LYM 297 on a smal Morris Commercial van, does anyone know the year of issue and the area it came from.?
My book only goes back to 1952 and it is not in there.
Was this number issued before that year.?
Any information greatly appreciated.

Would it be a blue Morris J-Type from 1950?

I find this site easier:-

http://www.numberplates.com/issued.aspx

Typing the number gives London C. C. 1951

Thank you all for the information.
Dare I say I looked at Ricks website. Very Happy
Yes it looks like it was registered in London in 1950/1951.
It is dark blue at the moment but underneath it is light green in colour.
It would be great to trace its history.
There were other small vans similar to this but they had been scrapped last week. Sad
Does anyone know where I can purchase items for this vans restoration.?

Drop Harvey an email via the Morris J Type Register site, he'll no doubt be able to help:

Long time since I saw one of those on the road - do see them occasionally at shows, but they often arrive on a truck. I learnt to drive in one before taking my test in'58. Ahh, the memory still works for long ago but not for yesterday!
Who am I - oh yes,cheers,JD.
