Mrs Roverdriver and I were kindly invited to a very pleasant get together today. Part of the reason for the event was to celebrate the virtual completion of a Bradford.

We live 80 odd miles from Melbourne and as it is early spring, the weather was not conducive to prolonged outside discussions- but they took place anyway.

Here is Howard S's beatiful restoration.

That is Mrs RD, discussing the finer points about how Howard gets his rather tall frame to fit into the driving position.

There is some thoughtfully constructed woodwork on the body-

-and here is the cockpit and dash-

-with the horizontally opposed twin ticking over nicely.

Although most visitors were members of the Jowett Club, only one other of that firm's products was driven here.

Others arrived in modern cars or different breeds of British machinery.

After a delicious morning tea provided by Mr. and Mrs. S, we drove in convoy to where Howard has his store of spare parts and even another possible future project.

After a delightful lunch we motored, again in convoy, to visit another owner of a Javelin. Unfortunately it was difficult to photograph the Javelin, but its stablemate is this very nice machine.

All in all, an interesting outing for Mrs. RD and Self. We met some new car enthusiasts, enjoyed some good yarns and saw some interesting machinery, as well as enjoying the food that Mr. & Mrs. S. generously provided.

Lovely pictures, thanks for posting. Nice under bonnet shot of a late Bradford engine. Good to see the Australian JCC busy as we think about going into hibernation!
