Some lovely examples of classic cars ..... and the presenter's flairs (Richard Hudson-Evans, remember him?) are classics now as well!

The modern Coventry Motor Museum is, in my opinion, the best I've seen anywhere, and that includes Mulhouse!
We've visited every year for the last four years, and found something diffeerent every time. The staff are very friendly and helpful too, especially if you're disabled.
The only snag is the lack of a decent cafe, but there's a good one just around the corner, used by the Museum staff. |

I attended a conference at the Coventry Motor Museum last year and was very impressed with what they'd achieved since a previous visit when it was like an old storage shed.
The principal they support of 'conservation and restoration' is in my opinion the best option for transport & technology museums to take. They conserve when the object is complete and original, and they restore when the object is a 'kit of parts' and significantly altered. In the museum service I'm with restoration is a bad word, seen as an act of vandalism as it removes all the original history.
Great museum to visit if you haven't been. |
