I saw this at the Webbs of Wychbold show and thought that it was a good way to combine the love of classic cars and caravans. What do you think?

The owner told me that he was the second owner and that it was built by a haulage contractor in Staffordshire. The original owner now regrets selling it so is now building a MkII version.

I think if I was driving that, I'd constantly be wanting to shake the motorhome bit off Smile

Agree that it looks a very pro' job, but do the classic lines of the car not jar horribly with the angular 1970's lines of the caravan section? I think so.

There is, perhaps up North around Northumberland, a blue Jowett Javelin motorhome. I have seen a picture of it taken in that area.
In my eyes it looked rather splendid - even charming.
I think it is possibly a sound way of restoring/preserving a classic vehicle with body damage severe enough to render it scrap otherwise. Certainly better the turning it into a pick-up or box van.
I wish it was mine!
Jim.

After my last post I remembered where I had seen the picture of the Jowett.
The link brings up a thread on The Small Motorhome Forum, which contained the photo.

I hate to say anything negative....maybe I should keep quiet! lol

Looks like the Rover has crashed into the back of a caravan and come crashing out the front!

Worst of both worlds in my opinion
