I know a lot of early side valve engines didn't have oil filters or water pumps fitted as a factory standard item (hard to believe now a days)but it's true. If you've fitted an aftermarket unit to enable the use of a spin on filter then it's very possible that your using a Crosland 2022 filter. Whilst looking for a reasonably priced replacement I found out that a filter from a 1987 era 1.1L Fiesta is the same item, or so I was informed. This helped immensely as there are loads of web sites that you can find filters on for this vehicle.
