Do we know anything about the Marriott ? Is there an address anywhere for the factory in St Albans ?
What sort of cars? Why did they stop in 1905? How many were made? any still in existence? Any pictures or spec? Anything else known ?

Technically I suppose a veteran, but there are some very knowledgeable people on this forum

There's a two-line reference in David Burgess-Wise's Encyclopedia of Automobiles that states:

MARRIOTT. England 1901-1902. A 2.75hp De Dion-engined quadricycle from St Albans, Herts.

Not much to go on, but it's a start Smile

Thanks for that Rick. As car manufacturers were not exactly common in Hertfordshire at any period , the plan was to try to find the location of the works and see what it is today 110 years on.

I had a look in the "British Factories" book too, but no mention at all in there Confused Michael Worthington-Williams might know more.
