Good meeting wasn't it overall? even the weather was on our side for a change Some of my photos from yesterday:
While the majority of vehicles were "classic" or "vintage", as with previous years some really dull moderns were getting in on the action - eg rusty 90s cars (Corsa for instance), a Peugeot 306 with flat paintwork, several 1990s/2000s Jaguars, old Beamers etc.
Personally I'd rather see a smaller show, with everything properly old (say 30yrs+ in age), than a bigger show diluted by modern stuff you could see in any back street in town. But overall, an enjoyable bash.

Some nice pictures there Rick. Caught a glimpse of an A series yellow Manta next to the Zodiac it looks like? Nice Brabham Viva too, rare car nowadays.
I'm with you though, no idea why 90's and 2000's cars would be there, but it seems to be happening everywhere. Unless an early 90's car was really rare now, such as maybe a Mitsubishi Starion, or Peugeot 405 Mi16 or something interesting, not keen on seeing cars less than 25 years old or so at shows.
And I say that with a 32 year old car, albeit quite rare too now.

Yes, quite a frequent visitor to this show I think:
And a couple more:
And a shot of our club stand which was runner up for the "Best Club Stand" prize, currently trying to think of ways to celebrate our 25th anniversary next year:

Some nice cars, wish we had the variety you have in UK but for such a small island we do have quite a number of classics about just not so many pre war stuff!! |

Well Dave actually its happening a bit but pre war stuff in a smaller amount, we're seeing lots of MGs being imported mostly Bs but also midgets and some spitfires. I used to like them but are now becoming too common so some diversity is actually needed!!
I'll never be able to afford such things with a young family but at least would like to see more at shows etc!! |

That'll be the Autoshite.com stand then
The DS estate was part of it as well. The owner drove up from Kent to take part.
Great pics! _________________ Richard Hughes |
