I can't answer your question Rick but don't forget you'll be stung for at least £20 customs duty for buying from outside the EU, £8 of which is a Royal Mail handling charge... |

Rick,
Try these guys: http://www.parcel2go.com/contactcentre/contact-centre.aspx
This is the link to their contact page where it says;
About our Rent US Address service
The strong performance of the pound against the dollar in the last few years has meant that online sales of goods from the USA rocketed and despite the strengthening of the dollar, people are still searching for that American bargain. As such, we offer a fantastic service which allows you to buy from American only sites even if you only have access to a UK address.

I think eBay looks at your primary mailing address to see where the bid is coming from & to calculate postal charges - & also distance from item(!). I have to swap 2 addresses (UK & US) sometimes.
Some vendors simply refuse to do business outside their country & there's not much you can do about that.
E-mail me if you like. _________________ Mike - MVPeters at comcast.net

Yes I've run into problems like this before. I've found the company's real website, so have dropped them a line - hopefully they'll reply!!

Have the supplier mark it up as ''commercial samples'' to avoid duty. Of course you must only do this if it is a commercial sample

It's nearly as bad sending stuff over to the US.Last year I send some clothing,despite marking the package and fixing all the proper lables their customs opened the package with a stanley knife slashing some of the clothes and then refused to accept the valuation we'd provided and charged the guy duty on their estimate of the value.
He wasn't a happy bunny even when we gave him a hefty discount and to be honest I dont blame him. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |
