I visited an elderly farmer in Dorridge, near Solihull, earlier today to discuss his needs for wrought iron railings to supplement the automated gates we installed last year. Got onto the topic of old cars, as you do, and he showed me the interior of one of his barns.

Surrounded by assorted tractors and the like is an early 50's Morris MO Oxford, absolutely complete and wearing an inch of dust. He bought it on a whim many years ago and never did anything with/to it other than to get it running.

It appears to be entirely intact even down to the hubcaps. It has the leather trim and column shift gearbox. The philistine in me noted that the registration number is potentially very valuable, being three letters and two numbers, and the car has all appropriate documents.

From my limited access I scrubbed part of a window clear and the interior looks to be good. Front wings are gone (ish) only at their rear edges, the rest looks emminently oily raggable. The crome on radiator grill is very good indeed, couldn't see much of the rest.

If I had the space I'd have it in a flash but I haven't so I can't.

Forgot to say that the engine bay appears to be all intact, even the air filter assembly is in place. You'll probably be aware that they have 1500cc sidevalve engines and weren't known for their power or performance.
