My parents need to pass on their '69 Bailey Maru as its just sat on the drive not being used these days. They've had it since the early '70s and we spent nearly every school holiday away in it when I was growing up.
I'd love to keep it myself, but have little space and a 12' Carcruiser already, which in its self takes some justifying as we now have twins, so could do with a bigger 4 berth model!
Anyway, reconciled to the fact that I can't keep the Bailey, I'm trying to find it a good home, rather than it being scrapped. Its not moved for quite a few years, but I did buy two new tyres on wheels when I fondly imagined I could bring it home. The legs will be a bit seized and need some fettling up, but other than that it should be towable. Theres one of two dings and dents (all with stories behind them!) but its a very original two owner from new van needing some recomissioning/tlc/resto etc.
If anyones interested, its in Sheffield and I'll try and get some photos.

Actually, to be more precise, its a '68, not that it makes a big difference!
I can only find photos where it appears in the background, I'll have to take some next time I'm up there...

Its the one in the background, not the Carcruiser attached to the Land Rover!

I'm loving the Landys.
Can't help with the caravan, but best of luck...

Hi folks.
The Bailey is still very much available. (Been trying to work out where I can keep it if no one wants it....)

Yes it is Fred and Barbara's old Carcruiser, as seen at Tatton Park for many years on the J type van stand. We got it from Barbara about 4/5 years ago and done a light restoration on it. Hope to be out at a few shows this year but with new twins on the scene, we're not too mobile yet!

The two Land Rover pics are a few years apart, the 107" one sort of replaced the 86" alledgedly allowing me time to restore the 86" not that its happened yet.... Could do with a more family friendly 107" station wagon now...

Email barrie@barnsleyminors.co.uk if interested in the Bailey
