Well certainly love towing with the Windslammer on the roof this weekend.
Surprisingly a new type caravanner didn't know what it was so I told him they were all the rage back in the early 80's and everybody had them!
I also love towing with the canoe on the roof as it performs the same job as the Windslammer. No flies on the front windows and the whole outfit glides through the air whilst traveling. A pound worth spent off Ebay (for the Windslammer I must add, the canoe was quite a bit more than that!)

Us Royale Owners are used to taking everything to site including the kitchen sink
Presently got a bad earth on the caravan making the front side lights work intermittently which is something I need to sort out

hi mate if it's just the front lights i would look at the junction box just under the front of the chasiss

That's excalty where I headed to yesterday although it all looked intact, but I did clean up the earth wire with no success.
Having taken off the front lense and using a spare piece of wire I held it onto the earth screw of the light with the other end of the wire on the chassis.
Bingo let there be light!
Well, when I have time.....and it's off to Dorset this weekend coming, so one morning next week I'll remove the interior front panel so I can get to the earth wire and see if there is a break in the cable at all, or failing that just run another wire from the earth of the light back down to the terminal junction
Still all good fun....just hope I don't get stopped in any police check points this weekend coming!

Forgot to update this forum thread from a couple of weeks ago
Replaced both junction boxes underneath the van front and back. Also discovered there was a break somewhere in the lead running from the car to the first junction box underneath the van so that was replaced too. When wriggling the lead the lights would go on and off!
Also decided then to replace the 7 pin plug as I had no idea how old it was anyway
Finally two near earth leads running from the front lights to the first junction box and all now working dandy even the number plate light!
