Not strictly classic cars I know, but I thought you might be interested in seeing these photos of a damaged Lotus Exige that I saw on an accident recovery trailer the other night.
Three Exiges, all owned by French and Belgian drivers had the misfortune or lack of common sense managed to hit each other on a local road. One braked suddenly, apparently, and the following two rear ended the first and each other. A case of an unfamiliar, twisty and wet country road and too much power, perhaps.
The car you are looking at was the middle car in the adventure/sandwich.

There were no serious injuries as a result of the incident except for an injured wrist or I would not have shown these images.
All the cars were less than two years old, one was nearly brand new.The likelihood is even with such superficial looking damage that this Exige is beyond economic repair and so will be the last car in the accident.
