Another technical masterpiece from the 'Prince of Darkness'.
When I first started motoring pillar mounted spotlights were quite popular. The only reason I can think why was because many 30s cars headlamps were not strong enough to illuminate signposts. Anyway, I remember one being advertised with, what resembled, a Colt 45 handle on it.
I don't know who made them, and haven't seen one since... does anyone else remember them?

I think I remember the one you mean, have you seen the 1950s fire extinguishers that look like a small revolver?
