Hi, I'm trying to identify the pickup in the motif on the accompanying poor photograph. Is it something like an Austin A55 or larger designation with that grille? Also does anyone ever recall seeing one of these or know who made them?

[not sure if this photo inclusion has worked]
Cheers

Hi Austin,
You need to select the link below the top one you used.

Hi
Thanks for sorting my photo out.
I've looked up those Simcas. There are various styling changes. It does indeed look very much like the P60 type of grille. Higher relative to the headlamps than the A55 so a better match. I found some photos of a few P60s in pickup build. One photo shows a high bulkhead/board that carries the front of a tilt. There are some basic versions - a good match was one on "le parking.be"
Cheers

Hi
Seems a bit odd to me to have a European pick-up on a T shirt, it is more the sort of thing I would expect to see on a rednecks T.
There is no scale so could it be a Yankee truck. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

You're assuming that it was a conscious decision by someone knowledgeable. More likely someone just googled "old pick-up" or similar and chose the image pretty much at random. |
