just got back from todays show (1969 through to 1991 today)

I forgot to take the camera Embarassed
but todays winner's were....

1st...an 'E' reg 110 landrover
2nd..a triumph vitesse
3rd...a reliant scimitar

I'll try and remember the camera tomorrow.
tomorrow its all cars built before 1969 and my Alvis will be there!!

I was there today with the GT6 for sale....

Have to say that 110 that won first was just awful!

Can't be worse than the Zimmer that won Car of the show a few weeks ago at a local.
What an abomination, even down to the gold plated four air horns and shiny bits.

This 110 wasn't even shiny. Some horrid matt camo job. A well-done camo job in all fairness, but that doesn't account for the fact it is still a lame camo job on a civilian station wagon Land Rover. Looked awful I am afraid!

well we had a cracking day today, the sun was shining and it was absolutely red hot at a packed out Hebden bridge.....

my car before we set off...


and a few photos from today....
















my car in the show....(the only Alvis there!)


and the pre war winner was this austin 7 van...


the post war winner was a jensen.....but didn't get any photos as the camera packed up Mad

1st is right, 2nd was the Scimitar (MINE!), 3rd was a Marina Estate.

The organisers pretty much said to me I should have won, but the landrover owner brought a lot of mates who voted for him Rolling Eyes

Never mind, 1st thing Ive ever won! lol (Though I dropped my glass tankard when I got home and smashed it to bits Embarassed Crying or Very sad )

I was on my own, so dodgy voting for the landrover or not I was chuffed with 2nd, as I never even enter the competitions unless its obligatory Laughing and people I dont even know must have voted Cool

Next outing Oulton Park at the end of the month....
