We had the Olympic torch come past my house on Sunday. It was quite a parade with lots of police bikes and cars (mostly from the Met) but added to by our local Warwickshire Police. Coming to the point though I was looking one way and when I turned around there was an old bus almost level with me and I just got a shot of the front. This is it:

I feel that it must be an import from either Malta or Cyprus. What do you think?

If you look further down that flickr page you can see the back of it when closed up.
I'd be fascinated to see how they have done that (the mechanics and process of opening and closing).

The body style seen from the sides is very similar to the Maltese built ones but the roof extension and the back end have been changed when in Uk surely if its a Maltese bus!
Nice though!!
I miss seeing them buzzing around even if it meant you got to close your windows when driving behind one because of all the diesel fumes in your face!!
Now we have Arriva, the less said the better!! Rolling Eyes

Was that built by the bloke who did the motorised beds, garden sheds and sofas?

It is horrible but it was not in the convoy past my house.

They even changed the registration number when they closed the back.

Hi
Well spotted, must get my eyes checked. Shocked
It's got a different rad grill as well.

So it appears that Lloyds have got two different ex malta buses
